5 Steps to Cricut Handbooks on the Ipad
I recently put all of the Cricut cartridge handbooks that I own onto my Ipad and I LOVE IT! It is so easy to scroll through and see. I prefer looking at the handbooks over searching or browsing the Gypsy or Design Studio so I am SUPER excited!
Here are the step-by-step instructions many of you asked for:
I am using iBooks to view them in, but it should work for whatever you use to read with.
1. Go to http://www.cricut.com/information/cartridge_library.aspx to view all of the available handbooks. Select the one you want to put on the Ipad and click “View”. This will begin downloading the handbook to your computer.
2. Once it has downloaded, click the disk icon and ‘save as’ whatever you want the file name to be. Make sure it is saving as a PDF. Remember where you are saving it at so you can find the file again.
3. Open your ITunes. Click FILE, then “Add file to library”
4. Find the handbook on your computer and then click ‘open’.
The handbook should be found in the ‘books’ section.
5. Sync your Ipad with your Itunes on your computer and the handbooks should appear within IBooks on your Ipad.

Organizing with iBooks
After you have synced your Ipad, open iBooks and tap “Collections” in the upper left corner. By default there should be two collections, “Books” and “PDFs”. Tap “PDFs”. Your handbooks should be there.
To make a new collection, tap the “collections” button again. Under the collections it will say “new” and “edit” at the bottom. Select new. It will allow you to type in a new collection name such as “Cricut Handbooks”. Tap “done” and your new collection will be made.
To move your handbooks to your new “Cricut Handbooks” collection, select the “PDFs” collection again. In the top right corner tap the button that says “edit”. If you are viewing on the bookshelf, just tap to select the ones you want to move. If you are in list view, it will place a checkmark next to the ones you select.
After you have selected all of the handbooks, tap “move” in the top left hand corner. It will then bring up the list of collections. Tap “Cricut Handbooks” and watch them zoom into that collection. TaDa! You can now preview your handbooks in a super easy way!
Handbooks Video: Old vs New
Here’s a quick video showing the differences in the original handbooks and the new.
Hello Thursday: 6 New Cricut Carts

Note that two of them, Car Decals and Ornamental Iron, are only available through CricutMachine.com. Quarter Note is only available through Michaels. Hmm…..
Don’t forget that Joy, Tammy, Robyn and Melanie all have projects and more information on their blogs.
Here are the links to the cartridges on the Cricut site so you can see additional images of each. If you click on PDF it will take you to the PDF handbooks where you can see all the images in depth.
