Instructional Video for Imagine

If you haven’t ever purchased DVDs to help you with the Cricut you are missing out! Megan from Above Rubies Studio does an amazing job and has several DVDs to choose from. I just ran across this video on her new Imagine DVDs. I know there are many of you who need a little extra push to really begin using your machine to the fullest. Not only does Megan show the ins and outs of using it, but shows lots of projects from several designers. It currently sells for $24.97.

Here is a quick video trailer:

I almost returned my Imagine…

I seriously contemplated returning my Imagine because of some posts I had read about “flood fill”. When using the Imagine with older cartridges, if you change the color, it floods out all of the details on the screen. I never thought to go ahead and cut it to see what it actually cuts like.

To save others the frustration of thinking all the detailed cuts are lost, I took a couple pictures to show what it looks like on the screen and how it actually cuts. I hope this helps someone just discovering their new Imagine!

MPS Challenge Card and Checklist Winner

My Pink Stamper has started having Wednesdays be “Imagine That Wednesday“. Yesterday she had a challenge to use an Imagine cart and bling up your project. So… I used the Imagine Best Friends cart and added some Stickles.

Also, the winner of the Cricut Checklist App is Lisa Malcom. I combined comments from the blog and the post on Facebook since most people seem to read the blog posts from Facebook. Congrats Lisa!

Imagine Video: Vball Girl

My BF Nicole came over Sat. night for the first time since mom’s brain surgery nearly five months ago. It was much needed and we played with my new Cricut Imagine!

We made a volleyball player and a darling princess.

Here is the video on the volleyball player. Please leave a comment for my little girl Cali after watching the video. It will make her day! (Her part is right at the beginning of the video if you don’t want to watch it all)

The Imagine is HERE!!!

Imagine

Well, it’s not in my grubby little hands of course, but there are several videos being released from those who were able to get it early.  My Pink Stamper has a blog post and video that you can see by clicking HERE. Joy from Obsessed with Scrapbooking also shows the arrival of her new toy HERE.

HERE is a video of Joy and Melanie making an actual project with it…a birdie card.

Now, I was determined that I did NOT want the Imagine. I mean, I’ve been drooling over an Ipad since they came out and have yet to convince my husband I NEED one, lol. The more I watch these videos the more I start itching to play with one in person and maybe, just maybe (gulp!) decide I need one.

BTW, The Imagine premiers on HSN on September 14th. Check out the info on it HERE.

Anyone else change their minds once they see it in action? Anyone forking over the dough and ordering from HSN this month?

Oh my…The New Cricut Imagine

So here’s my question…

Isn’t part of the layering and “piecing” what makes the cuts have flair and dimention? Do you think your projects will be better with an image cut out and printed all on one sheet? I mean, not having to glue every piece would be nice…but will it lose some of its “homemade”-ness?

And what about the price? $599 is pretty steep. Do you see this replacing the Cricut machines we use now?
